George Wernery State Farm is seeking a driven, sales-focused Acquisitions Specialist to help generate new business, close opportunities, and build long-term client relationships. This is a high-production sales role designed for someone who is motivated by results, comfortable prospecting, and eager to control their income through consistent activity and performance.

This is not a passive service position. The right candidate will be confident leading sales conversations, overcoming objections, following up consistently, and asking for the business.

Previous sales experience and insurance licensing are preferred. Licensing support is offered if necessary, but candidates must be willing to obtain required insurance licensing if not already licensed.

State Farm experience is preferred but not required. Candidates with prior knowledge of State Farm systems, quoting platforms, and agency production expectations will have a strong advantage.

Primary Focus of the Role

In this position, you will focus heavily on new client acquisition and sales growth. You will be responsible for generating opportunities, identifying customer needs, presenting insurance solutions, and closing business across multiple product lines.

This role requires discipline, organization, confidence, and a strong desire to meet and exceed production goals.

Sales & Production Responsibilities

You will be expected to
  • Generate new business through outbound calls, referrals, digital leads, and community networking
  • Conduct needs-based conversations to uncover coverage gaps and recommend strong solutions
  • Quote, present, and close auto, home, renters, and life insurance policies
  • Maintain a disciplined pipeline and follow-up system to maximize close ratio
  • Cross-sell and deepen relationships within the book when opportunities arise
  • Track daily sales activity and production metrics to meet and exceed acquisition goals
  • Represent the agency professionally in the community and marketplace

Licensing Expectations

  • Active Pennsylvania Property & Casualty license preferred
  • Life & Health license preferred
  • Willingness to obtain required insurance licensing prior to day 1 start is required if not already licensed (licensing support is offered if necessary for candidates who need to obtain required licenses)
